Using Indesign - Bird

In the lesson we looked a bit at the program called Indesign. Indesign is used to help layout and create pages or front covers for magazines, which will be needed for this up coming project.

To start with we were given the image of a bird to use as the main image of my test article design.

Then using a indesign document I created a 2 page spread with dummy text so I could get the layout of were I would want to place my bird. Then using the text warp tab on the image, I created a type of barrier around the bird so that it would fit in nicely with my text.

To the right is the final design I came up with, I decided to make the bird smaller so I could fit it all in rather than just a small part of it. I like the way this little test came out and it helped me learn a useful technique which I can see me either using in this project or in the future.
